WHY ATHLETES GET PAID SO MUCH AND TEACHER DOESN’T

WHY ATHLETES GET PAID SO MUCH AND TEACHER DOESN’T?
Why do athletes get paid millions and teacher make less than $100,000 per year? This is a question that has pondered my mind. I know that playing a sport is extreme. It requires a lot of training for the athlete. Also, sport is entertainment for the people. However, educators educate the children of the world and they get paid pennies. Without the teachers how and where would the kids gain knowledge? Teachers report to work daily while athletes only work during their season.
I believe that teachers should get paid much more than they do. Teachers provide children with knowledge, teach them responsibility, and also improve the communities by doing this. Not to add. Therefore, one must know that their sacrifice and community work is worth more than just the pennies they receive.
Sports has become a immense business and billions of dollars are made from ticket sales and the apparel being sold. Why can’t some of this money be utilized in the community? Especially, the teams that tend to do well. I know some team generates more profit, which gives them the option to sign players larger contracts. So why can’t they give this money to our community. The children are the future and we are lagging behind in education in comparison to all the other countries around the world, yet we are supposedly number 1 in everything else.
Maybe if we can turn education into an entertainment business, we can generate more money. Wouldn’t you think that the knowledge children gain in the school system is worth millions? Personally you cannot put a price tag on this because it is priceless. No money can pay for what children learn. Therefore, teachers’ salaries should be raised. There should not be any more budget cuts for education only an increase. This is just pure stupidity to cut down on education because it is what is needed. We should never hear of a budget cut in this area. Things like this just infuriate me and I’m just saying!

Is Television Really Television

Is television really television or has it become a marketing tool for companies? Television (TV) is an entertainment box and it is built to amuse viewers. It is also used as one of the largest form of advertisement for companies. This helps the companies connect with their consumers at a very large scale. Television gives viewers/ consumers entertainment, while companies utilize the TV as a source to make money by purchasing commercial segments to showoff their logos and products that they are trying to sale. Now, has TV become a form of advertisement or is it still used for entertainment? One may beg to differ that TV is for entertainment while as someone else may see it as a tool for marketing advertisements. TV has truly become an advertising frenzy.

Television has been around since the 1920’s with its initial purpose of providing information and sharing knowledge across America about what is going on in the world. As television has evolved, it has become a source of entertainment for the people with news being the main anchor of entertainment. They too use their logos as an advertising tool to promote their channel. Television has been the main medium for molding the public with sitcoms and news. During this time, TV advertisement began with cars. Currently, TV stations have hundreds of commercials that promote cars, food, medicine, and websites making TV the main stream for advertisement. However, cars remain the biggest advertising source. Throughout the 70’s and into the early 90’s cars were marketed heavy on television. Through the cars advertisement logos have become more recognizable to public like Ford, Toyota, Nissan, and GMC. These car brands are the largest within American culture.

As time has progressed sport games, awards shows, reality TV and fashion has become more popular events for companies to advertise their brand on television. Sporting events, in particular the Superbowl, have change the way people view commercial advertising do to the high volume of viewers. People watch the game just for the commercials. There is no other sporting event known for the commercials like the Superbowl. Why it is that advertisement has become so popular with this event?

TV should have less commercials and more sitcom time. While watching a 30 minute sitcom, there are at least 10 minutes of commercials making the sitcom 20 minutes long. Maybe with technology increasing, advertisement on TV will shrink and there will be more airtime for sitcoms. That would be nice because you can have more time to watch shows rather than commercials persuading people that they need whatever it is that they are advertising. TV would be more enjoyable if it included fewer commercials.

America’s Pass Time

America’s favorite pass times are sports.  If you visit the many households around the United States, from the east coast to the west coast, the sport will change but undoubtedly there is a favorite of some kind whether it is football, basketball, soccer, hockey, golf or baseball.  We can talk about one of the most popular one of them all football.  Specifically, let’s talk about Super Bowl Fever!!!  Super Bowl Fever is not just the football game that is being played on the field.  It has become a phenomenon that encompasses not only the color of the teams’ jerseys that are playing on the field, the million dollar commercials that play during the breaks on the biggest screen TV that your household can afford to buy but also the artist that has been selected to perform at the halftime show.

Super Bowl Fever is in the stadium during the playing of the game in the $1000 seats at subzero temperatures this year, tailgating in the parking lot with all the food you can feast your eyes and bellies on, in your home on the worn out couches that you watch the game on every year and also the party busses and cruises moving all around the world just to celebrate this one day a year in February.  Oh Yeah!!  Super Bowl Fever is the culmination of what we spend the entire football season looking forward to.

For those of us who lucked out on getting tickets to the game it is undoubtedly a dream come true, that once in a lifetime chance, that thing that you tell your grandchildren about.  The ones that don’t make it into the stands well it’s not all over, there is that party bus or cruise to bring you close to the action or as close as you can with your 72″ flat screen TV can bring you.  It only took you all of 2 hours to spend all of your money to decide on which beautiful TV a LCD, Plasma or LED you are going to select for this one glorious day (As I Digress!!).  Party, Party, Party!!
